Peeping into properties? Five things to look for buying perfect home
July 9th, 2020
A house becomes a home when it has that feel that clicks, and you know that this is it! Not every house can be a home, and the ambiance matters a lot. Now, though you may find a beautiful house listed with a real estate agent, things that you should pay attention to apart from the cost is its locality.
To help buyers find their dream homes, focus on the below five things that you shouldn’t be missing out on:
- Aesthetics: Of course, how can we ignore the aesthetics of a place? When we are buying, we should get the value for the money being spent. Look for a house that is clean and well maintained. What’s the point in buying a house and you have to renovate it all over again. Also, the condition of the house will help decide the value precisely. So do not let go of it!
- Neighborhood: Foremost concern is always to know how the neighborhood is and if it is safe to live in that locality. You wouldn’t want to again sell the house and move out just after a couple of years. Also, if the locality is unsafe, the resale value will go down and you might end up stuck with it. Always research about the neighborhood and also about the house you are eyeing on. Ask about the owner of the place and what reputation the locality has in the market.
- Commuting: A place where a bus station is near, the metro is not very far away or you can get a taxi nearby is always the center of attraction while buying a residential property. Now, this part is not applicable to all. If you can afford a fancy car, you might want to skip this one. But for those who are relying on public transport, please look at the options and chalk out the distance where commuting can be easy for you. If not, skip it and look for another place.
- Restaurants & shopping malls: Every weekend to spend a night with your loved ones in a hotel or a restaurant, that fine wine and dine is what makes the week’s hard work well paid. People look forward to weekends to relax and enjoy and if your home is near such places, what better can be? Also, everyday grocery shopping or running errands would be much easier if food zones, grocery stores, and other necessary outlets are nearby. So take a quick look at the surrounding areas as that will help you decide better.
- Long term assessment: Now when buying a house, long term assessment in terms of analyzing the condition of the house, to see how the plumbing, wiring, flooring and how well maintained is the house is absolutely necessary. Get an expert to check the condition of the house as they can evaluate the place better. They can find the leaks and the problems with a house that your eye can pass. Be sure of what you are getting your hands into because once you buy the house and the paperwork is done, it will be too late if you find a problem afterward. So check the basements, flooring, bathrooms, kitchen cabinets, wardrobe cabinets, and lighting of the house.
